  • Began coughing with a cold about 1 month ago.
  • The cough actually worsened after a week or so.
  • In the past would cough for 7 - 10 days with most colds.
  • At present, he is coughing at night, in the morning and with exercise.
  • The cough was so bad that he was taken to an emergency department a few weeks ago. An inhaled steroid was prescribed but has not helped.
  • Has also been treated with antibiotics and cough syrups.
